Faith, the Substance of What We Hope for

Heb 11:6 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.'

So faith is:

1. the substance of what we hope for

What are you hoping for?

-a good relationship with my spouse

-heaven

-to ultimately please God

-righteousness

-peace

When you cannot believe in anything else, believe in God. Know and trust that God is going to carry you through, He is going to get you through the tough waters, He is going to lead you through the sea, talk to God, pray to God, because faith is the substance of things hoped for. Imagine a jar of jelly, that cntainer of jelly represendts for a moment, what you are hoping for, faith is hope, so we look toward the future, toward the prize, not on what we see, the troubles, the test, we focus on Jesus, we focus on heaven, he will get us through. The substance of jelly is the jelly, A few other minute articles, but when we speak of the substance of anything, we are speaking of 'the' matter of that body form. The most important part, the crux, so faith (what we hear) is the most important part of what we hope for, put that into practice and you'll be safe

1. Two, the evidence of things that we cannot see

If I cannot see it, how can there be evidence? so then faith is that evidence I dont have anything tangible to rely on, I must rely on my faith, Imust rely on what I hear from God's Word. When you [cannot see beyond your situation, when it looks doom and gloom, rely on God's Word, even faith the size of a mustard seed, resist Satan and he will flee from you, weeping may endure for a night, yet joy comes in the morning light. For our light and momentary struggles cannot outweigh the glory that is to be revealed. Whe we cannot see it, there is nothging to rely on, no substantiation, faith is what caused Peter to doubt to look around, dont look around, focus on Jesus, faith works by love, we are sved by faith, our faith comes by hearing, . Evidence, Proof of God, what we hear, is proof of God, if we are searching for proof, we must search the Word of God. It is proof of God.

In conclusion, it is not about what we see, what we see is temporary, what we cannot see is eternal. What we hear is our proof, what we hear is the most important part of what we hope for.
