We have preachers, teachers, elders, deacons,
and these are all gifts from God
until we all reach the unity of the faith
and adjust our lives according to God's rod
Without the preacher how can we hear
beautiful are his feet
and the message he brings is oh so clear
The deacons assist and are there to wait on tables
they are supporters of the church, neither do they mind not having the larger labels
All the workers work work together as one
no big I's or little U's, because all the gifts afterall come from God's dear Son
Jesus Christ is the head of the church, the giver of these gifts
preachers, teachers, elders, deacons,
all for the building up of the church
As the body works together, so this body is a team
nourishing one another, by joints and marrows and all the rest in between
The goal of God when He gave these gifts
was that we may arrive yet unto the perfect man
complete, mature, without want, undivided to stand
All having the same love
our ministers teach us the way of truth
we heed the Word, except it with humility
we abide and keep walking true
The state of being edified is complete indeed
tossed around no more the end of our enemy's lie in wait to decieve
We have preachers, teachers, elders, deacons,
