Narcissistic Poetry
Give him time to see what he needs to see
Give him time to become that man that he needs to be
All the while with you
he was nothing but smothered
you held his hand
he had no time to be bothered
He's doing things for himself and thats good
hes giving you space
he's doing things on his own that he should
Take this time to be thankful for where you are
complete is the only way it works, not wishing on a star
Marriage is for two complete individuals
individuals able to manage their own lives
without this completeness theres only fussing and strife
Becuase one is trying to find themselves
so they drain the other partner
so they both need to be content
and this must happen before your get started
Give him time to see what he needs to see
Give him time to become the man that he needs to be
I know that you love him and you always will
yet he has to get things together and stand stronger still
Now is the time to do things a little different
set him free and back forever with you he'll be
You have some thngs to learn and he has places he needs to grow
Time is not ripe for rushing planting the seeds and reap what you sow
You may miss him sometimes yet that's okey too
allow him to breath and move beyond just you
Theres a whole big world out there
he needs to learn to navigate the waters
and again this must happen before you get started
Many years has he given, yet complete continual happiness is not what I see
so time will tell this tale
whether it was just for 'now' or eternally
