In Sickness & In Health

Narcissistic Poetry

In sicknes and in health

wow, that truly is a stanza I have come to hate

It makes it so, that the one that you marry, you cant escape

The illness can be a host of frailties that may just get on your last nerve

but now it does not matter

because you are binded by your word

That common stanza, "I do" just sounds so good

get under the same roof and you're regretting the cant could and should

If you've been married at least for a minute or two

you know what i am talking about, you've sung the blues

For richer or poor

I still dont understand that part

get your rump off the couch, and go get a job, you stupid fart,

Whoops! Did I say that,

I almost forgot I also agreed in this deal to love, honor, serve, and revere him

Well, we all deserve hell's fire for one reason or the other, so my downfall is this whimp

There are so many reasons why we want to kick homeboy to the curb

but we do love him, our infatuations with him are absurb

because we wake up one morning and say, "what did I ever really see in this joker"

was I drunk, at a bar, playing spaids of poker

Boy I must have sure thought I'd lucked out

after the ceremony , I am tearing up these vows, his very appearance makes me wanna shout

In sickness and in health

wow that thruly is a stanza I have come to hate

his breath stinks, he passes gas, I can't believe it,

forever with "this" is my fate

Now sometimes I see why people get cold feet

because nothings perfect, were taking a chance,

the 'forsaking all others' has me beat

It has only been a year, and I am already tired of him

How do the old folks do it, 10, 20, 30 decades in

From my point of view that just seems like majic

that 'in sickness and in health' vow, has surely done me some damage!
