Rehab is for you, not me You're not there for a pat on the back or parade around dishonestly I wish you the best and I hope you get it together I'll be here for you, for worse or better Write poetry daily and journal in your books dont do it for show or glory or looks Rehab is for you not me you're not there for a pat on the back or parade around dishonestly I see that you called, but I am not returning any text, your stay needs to be for you and not only for what you can get We've been here many times before baby yet the change has only been temporary nothing ever substantial, only a maybe You talk to the doctors, yet you are only remembering phrases, Yet in needs to be about you this time, and not just coloring pages, sitting there allowing the hours to roll, television, card games, a little laughter, while all is the same Its not fair to us because we really want you right We're tired of being lonely, confused, or in fright Its been all about you and that's getting old so we wont visit or chat, its the fullness of time to be cold You have done us wrong for far too long gotten away with murder, frustrations, while you're singing a song You want what you want, and that just has to be okey with us It hasn't mattered to you what we think, lies, cries, and distrust We should be angry and indeed we are, we've put up with the betrayals and the journeys afar You mash the gas, travelling down interstate 20 we say, what about the gas, the lights, the water, and kid's birthday money So, rehab is for you and we must see it that way this time, its a matter of life or death, God will let us Go or decline. God wants us to be humble and see it His way, that rehab is for you, and is not a game or child's play
