Why Cook More?

Updated: Jan 26

Let's face it. Fast food 😋 is ADDICTING. Don't believe me? Go get a Whopper this evening, indulge. Go ahead, indulge. You may find yourself miserable tomorrow when your tummy begins to growl, and you have made the choice to settle for heating up rotisserie chicken and a canned good for your vegetables. So, what reasons do we have to cook more? First, we get a chance to be creative, express ourselves through cooking, and we actively are engaging the left hemisphere of the brain which is opposite the right hemisphere which most of us use daily for, reading, computer work, speaking, etc. Another reason we should cook more is because of the health aspects. Few fast food chains offer vegetables, green leafy vegetables, that we usually find in the produce section of the grocery store. So cooking at home, we're more prone to get our daily dosage of vegetables which ultimately is most important for supreme health. Last but not least, is budget, which I mentioned a lot in my blogs. Fast food today is in high demand and food chains are taking advantage of this opportunity. Have you noticed the price of fast food has skyrocketed and yet your burger combo is smaller and smaller in portion sizes. The food is not fresh. And you're quickly hungry Again, soon after mealtime, ready for "Another" 😭 burger🍔😭.Therefore, if you're watching your waist and pocketbook.. it is wise to steer clear of fast food and cook more at home.
