So here, we are basically discussing how to handle impulse buys. Has money ever been "burning a hole" in that pocket/purse of yours? Have you been managing bills accounts just fine, and now here's your birthday and a great uncle just decided to bless you with a large monetary blessing? Just recieved a settlement? There are many ways we are gifted. The delimma sometimes, is what do I do with this temporary "new status". I have a solution. The quick answer, "Wish List". Always keep a running wish list while you are budgeting so that when monetary windfalls occur, you won't be confused as to where to spend the next dollar. Pull out the list when that money arrives, and begin marking off one by one. Left overs? Large lump sums should always be added back to the savings account.
